Dream Angel Flame Retardant Quilt Batting is made of fibers that are specially engineered to be inherently flame retardant. The fibers are designed not to melt or flow when in contact with flame. The fibers are inherently flame retardant with no chemical coatings and no PBDEs. Dream Angel Batting can be machine washed and dried and will not lose the flame retardant quality. Dream Angel was tested by an independent laboratory and meets both international standards and the Technical DRAFT CAL 604*.
Why use Dream Angel? Our customers often ask: “Why use a flame retardant quilt batting when the outside of the quilt can burn?” Our answer: The fact that the outer fabric can burn or ignite is the very reason to use Dream Angel! Regular batting, stuffing, fiberfil, foam, etc can often act as quick ‘kindling’ materials that promote a fire: consequently, a terrifying fact is a bedroom fire can ‘flash over’ in a matter of minutes.
Dream Angel batting is developed to act as a flame ‘barrier’ within the quilt.
In order to pass the then Technical Cal 604* Draft – the testing lab puts together two layers of fabric with the batting in the middle (an ‘unquilted’ quilt sandwich). They place the layers on an elevated screen so that air flows in all directions. The lab then ignites the top layer of fabric. To pass the Cal 604 Draft – the batting must act as a flame barrier and prevent the fire from spreading from the top burning fabric to the bottom fabric layer. Dream Angel, in the Select lofts, passed this very strict testing guideline by successfully acting as a flame barrier. Another advantage is that Dream Angel fibers will char. The most effective flame retardant fibers are those that will char and convert from their original organic structure to a less volatile carbonaceous structure (char). The charring helps the batting in retaining thermal barrier qualities.**

Shipping Time
Orders take around 2-5 business days to get processed and cut before shipping. Carrier lead times apply, after they pick up and scan the package. Note that in the days following a promo sale, the lead time to cut an order may become longer. We have two separate warehouses. If you order a mix of items from those warehouses, note that you will receive multiple shipments. Bolts drop ship separately from our suppliers and will arrive separately from the rest of your order as well.
Shipping Information
We ship our packages via various carriers including Fedex, SmartPost, and the United States Postal Service. Shipping method is dependent on the weight and size of the package. All International packages are shipped via USPS.
Our goal is to have merchandise shipped out as soon as possible. All orders are processed on a first come first serve basis.
Shipping time will vary depending on where you live. Our most recent records show that shipping time will normally be 2 to 7 business days to the contiguous US and around 3 to 9 business days to non-contiguous US once the order is shipped from our warehouse. Please make sure to enter your email address so that tracking information will be emailed to you upon shipment of your order.
*appropriate shipping sales tax will be added to all orders shipped within any applicable state
HI, AK, PR, GU, FM, MH, PW, MP, AE, AA, & AP please add an additional $10.50/order which will be invoiced at checkout, then actual shipping charges will be invoiced separately at the time of shipping. Rates are based on weight of the package and the location that it is being shipped to. This cannot be determined until the order is cut and weighed.

Returns & Warranty
All of our fabrics are first quality. It is still possible due to the nature of fabric, that there still may be a flaw. We actively look for any and we do not ship them.
In the instance of one that was missed, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, on any cuts larger than 1/2 yard, just send back the fabric in question, uncut, unwashed, and free of odors, smoke, stains, and pet hair, within 30 days of purchase and we will refund the original payment method used, except on items noted as "No Returns".
All fabrics marked as from our Runway Silk Collection and all by the Bolt items returned are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Shipping is not refunded. Shipping the return back for a refund is at the cost of the customer. If an order is refused, the return postage amount that it costs to do so will be taken from the return amount.
